The finnish health technology company Thermidas sought to evaluate the potential of entering the German healthcare market with its innovative infrared (IR) thermal imaging solution for medical diagnostics.<\/p>\n

Thermidas\u2019 CE-certified system enables clinicians and care professionals to detect and monitor conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, inflammatory disorders, vascular conditions and pressure injuries through non-invasive temperature analysis.<\/p>\n

Thermidas required a German-based partner capable of managing all operational aspects of market entry \u2013 from competitive landscape analysis and marketing to active lead generation and direct sales outreach. Costs and resource commitments were to be kept efficient. Above all, Thermidas needed a partner with deep expertise in the German digital health and MedTech sector.<\/p>\n

What is Thermidas?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>

Thermidas is a finnish health technology company headquartered in Tampere, Finland. The company specialises in infrared (IR) thermal imaging solutions for clinical and care settings. Its certified thermal imaging hardware, paired with proprietary software, allows healthcare professionals to analyse temperature anomalies on the body surface \u2013 supporting early diagnosis and treatment monitoring for a wide range of conditions including diabetic foot complications, arthritis, skin conditions and autonomic dysfunction.
Thermidas holds the world\u2019s first Class IIa Medical Device CE certification for an IR thermal imaging system and is also FDA cleared. The solution is already in active clinical use across university hospitals and private clinics in Finland, and the company has begun expanding internationally.<\/p>

Our collaboration combines market strategy, operational execution, targeted lead generation, and direct outreach to key decision-makers across the German healthcare sector, including hospitals as well as long-term care and nursing home providers. Throughout the project, Digital Health Port acts as Thermidas’ local partner, helping to identify market opportunities, establish valuable relationships, and drive commercial activities while providing ongoing strategic guidance tailored to the German healthcare market.<\/p>

A key milestone of the still ongoing collaboration was the successful initiation of a clinical study with Helios Hospital Wuppertal. Digital Health Port facilitates the engagement with the clinical stakeholders, coordinates the collaboration process, and supports the operational implementation of the project. As part of the study, 3 Thermidas devices were deployed across multiple clinical departments, where they are currently being evaluated in routine clinical practice.
